Autism & ADHD
What I understand from the inside
I am myself autistic and ADHD — diagnosed at 53, like many women, when perimenopause made the symptoms impossible to ignore. Ten years earlier, I had received a giftedness (HPI) diagnosis, which had partly helped — but wasn't enough to explain the executive dysfunctions, massive procrastination, or my daily tendency to self-attack.
The challenge was first to understand autism on one side, ADHD on the other — since 99% of resources address one or the other separately. Then, since 2021, I have made them my special interests: dozens of books, hundreds of hours of videos, podcasts and training on ASD, ADHD and their combination — the AuDHD. How they add up (executive dysfunctions, exhaustion), and how sometimes they cancel each other out — which means that on the outside you look "normal", while on the inside, it's a constant battle.
I have learned to understand my brain — and to work with it, not against it. It's a daily practice. And it's exactly what I offer my neurodivergent clients.
In our sessions, we can explore what concerns you: executive dysfunctions, procrastination, sensory overload, masking, social relationships, self-esteem. We can also talk about medication — I'm not a doctor, but I have inside experience that I'm happy to bring to our conversations.
ASD / Autism
If you are autistic or questioning, we can work together taking your specific needs into account.
ADHD
You may also be, like me, ADHD. Support that takes into account the particular ways your brain works can only be beneficial.
